οὔτοι συνέχθειν, ἀλλὰ συμφιλεῖν ἔφυν.
But surely I'm not born to hate. I'm born to love.

about
- i'm a transmisogyny exempt butch lesbian. i'm also neurodivergent and dealing with other undiagnosed mental and physical issues.
- as of december 2020 i have a bachelor's degree in classics and theater with a focus on greek tragedy and translation. my crowning achievement is my full translation of antigone into metered english. this is both a cause and effect of the fact that i cannot shut up about antigone.
- i often talk about media that i like. i also write fanfiction from time to time. however, i have a lot of issues with fandom culture, and i very carefully curate my fandom experience. i mostly engage with a few trusted discord servers.
- i'm a writer more generally. i'm currently working on a novel, and i also enjoy writing poetry and creative nonfiction.
- you will notice that i am very long-winded. this is just how i am. if you don't like it you can just not follow me. and if you follow me, you acknowledge that i never shut up. literally every time i come in to edit my carrd it gets longer. i like to talk and i'm making it everyone's problem.
- i mod classicslesbianopinions and i have a fic blog at regenderate-fic. all of my classics- and fic-related content goes there. all my fanfiction right now is doctor-who-related!

some things you should know about me/my content:
- i try to tag and warn for common triggers or graphic content, but i can't warn for individual triggers. it's pretty rare for me to post triggering stuff, but i'm also not the most consistent about tagging it. when i do tag, i usually include two slashes after the trigger.
- i describe all images on my blog. sometimes if a post is important and i don't have the energy to describe i'll reblog it undescribed (like donation posts etc) so that it at least gets some traction, but that's the only exception.
- i probably won't follow you back if you're under 18 or so, but all ages are welcome to follow me. i rarely post anything nsfw (and i pretty much never post anything graphic) but if i do i tag it as nsfw. if you're under 18, please blacklist #nsfw //
- i post about a lot of different stuff fairly indiscriminately. if you follow me for one thing, you might be disappointed. if you follow me for fandom maybe browse my /tagged/fandom before you get invested because i do have some opinions.we will not get along (and i will probably block you) if you disagree with me on these:
- trans women are unquestionably women. i block terfs and transphobes.
- i believe in listening to, uplifting, and supporting people of color.
- any work, including fanfiction, that romanticizes abusive dynamics is unethical. this includes but is not limited to age gaps, rpf, and "noncon." art can explore darker themes but is not free from morality, and fanfiction is not immune to criticism.
- nuance is important, and i don't believe in avoiding all "problematic" media-- but some media is defined by its bigotry and cannot be enjoyed in good faith. it’s your responsibility to define what that means for yourself. for me it means i block harry potter fans.
- i'm anti-police and anti-military.
- i don't use the word queer for myself, nor do i believe in applying it to the lgbtq+ community as a whole. it can be a useful and meaningful label for an individual, and i support including the q in lgbtq+.
- there's some discourse i choose not to engage with or get invested in. i am just tired of internet discourse
